Free Inquiry Post #1- The Power of Routine

September 20th, 2025

Hi blog! Today is the start of my free inquiry project for my EDCI 336 class! For this project I have chosen to explore the idea of having a routine, and how it might be beneficial for students, as well as into their adulthood.

The timing of things in your routine matters, following the human body’s natural routine is important for energy as well as natural health. These are ideas that Dr. Suhas Kshirsagar discusses in the book Change Your Schedule, Change Your Life.

My Goals

Throughout this project I hope to better my personal routines and teach myself and others about the benefits of having a good routine. I will use this project to track different ways in which routine has helped me. Simply changing your schedule into something that works for you personally can have many benefits including health, energy, and overall happiness.

I also think having a routine would make your day-to-day life a lot easier, if you already had a general idea of what you were going to do that day then that’s less time you must think about what you are going to do and you can simply, do it.

On the other hand, I also think that having too much of the same routine every single day can become a little mind numbing, so I think finding a good balance between the two is essential.

My Plan to Pursue My Goals

Here is my plan for my free inquiry project:

Post 1: Why a routine is so important

Post 2: How/why having too much of a routine may be perceived as a negative thing

Post 3: Building a balance in a routine

Post 4: The difference between morning and evening routines

Post 5: How even the smallest adjustments to routine, or routine in general can make such a big difference in everyday life!

I am so excited to continue learning about this!!

Thanks for joining me blog <3 see you soon!
