My Bundle Dye

We used different dried flowers and dried cosmos, put it in a 100% cotton sheet, sprayed it lightly with water, then rolled it up, and we left it in the steamer for a week, here is mine all wrapped up!

My Finished Project

When I created my bundle dye, I had hoped it would mirror itself a little bit on either side, as well as have lots of bright colours, specifically yellow as that is my favourite colour!

Here is my finished project!

My Artist Statement

I REALLY love how mine came out! I used quite a bit of marigolds because I just love yellow, and they’re my birth flower! I was really surprised that mine came out a little less colourful than I had planned, I thought it would come out a bit more expanded with a couple more colours. I do really love the purple aspect from the logwood, I think that looks really amazing with the yellow colours. I found this to be a very cool art experiment and I think it has a lot of potential to be cross curricular in my future classroom, and I really look forward to being able to do this with my future students!
